As you use your oils more often and find what works the best for you and your family, you'll find that having them on hand and ready when you want/need them is a must.
You will also build up an inventory of oils and will be able to readily use or make a blend of oils when you need them.
I always keep a few "emergency" oils in my purse so they are with me at all times. Lavender, Peppermint, Slim & Sassy, Terra Shield in the summer and Lemon. DigestZen is also good if you often have stomach issues.
My older children also carry a couple of oils with them, as they are not always with me any more.
I like to have my oils alphabetized just for ease of finding them. I also always use a cap sticker so the bottle can be identified from the top. You'll find a cap sticker is great if you open more than one bottle at a time and then are not sure which cap goes to which bottle. Sure you can go by smell, but some oils like citrus oils can get tricky.
There are many essential oil based products that are helpful too. I keep Deep Blue Rub and Correct X available at all times, along with many others. As you use different products you'll find that it's easy to replace your old medicine cabinet stand by with a more natural product. This doesn't have to happen all at once. I've done it a little at a time. I'm buying at a discount, getting a better, more healthy product and going for a preventative approach with my family's health care.
Having these resources on hand has given me the ability to help my family with the everyday small medical issues of life. Scraped knees, small cuts, bruises and stiffness, bug bites and stings, allergies, headaches, upset tummies, sun burns, skin care, mood enhancement and more.
Enjoy!
